Schedule & Shift Details

• Shift Type: 4x10-Hour Days
• Shift Hours: 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM
• On-Call Requirements:
• 4 weekday calls (4:30 PM – 7:00 AM)
• 2 Friday night calls
• 2 Saturday and 2 Sunday 24-hour calls per 6-week schedule
• Weekend Coverage: As scheduled via on-call rotation
• Holiday Coverage: Required
• Block Scheduling: Not available
• Orientation: 28 hours at 50% non-billable
  

Job Requirements

• Experience:
• Minimum 2 years CVOR experience
• Must have prior travel assignment
• Must have open heart surgery OR experience
• Must be able to scrub and circulate
• Cerner EMR experience required
• Certifications Required:
• BLS
• Certifications Preferred:
• ACLS

• Mitral Valve Replacement (MVR)
• Aortic Valve Replacement (AVR)
• MAZE Procedure
• Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump (IABP)
• Left Ventricular Assist Device (LVAD)
• TAVR (Transaortic Valve Replacement)
• Cardioversion
• Thoracic procedures: VATS, thoracotomy, lobe resection
• Vascular procedures: AAA repair, carotid endarterectomy, fem-pop bypass, TCAR, EVAR

• Patient Age Group: Adults
• Daily Census: 1–9 cases
• Operating Rooms: 3
• Scrub Color: Provided
• Charting System: Cerner
• Float Requirements: May float to units of equal or lower acuity
• COVID-19 Exposure: Possible
• Flu Vaccine: Required (no exemptions accepted)

IV Teams, Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Interpretation Services, Phlebotomy, Radiology, Social Services, Lift Teams, Rapid Response Teams, Pharmacy, Transportation, Unit Secretary

Common Diagnoses

CAD, AS, MS, TS, Afib/Aflutter, PVD, PE, AAA, Carotid Stenosis, Fistula Clots

Note: Clinical staff must work the full shift before the holiday (e.g., 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM or 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM) for holiday pay eligibility.
