Nurse’s Day 2025 Gala

Welcome to the Indian American Nurses Association of Maryland (IANAM)

Dear Friends and Colleagues,

It is with heartfelt gratitude and immense pride that I welcome you to the Indian American Nurses Association of Maryland (IANAM) as your President. Since our founding in 2016, I have watched our community grow and thrive, driven by the passion, resilience, and dedication of our members.

Nursing is a calling that demands compassion, strength, and a commitment to making a difference. Together, we will continue to build a strong network that supports mentorship, leadership, and advocacy — creating opportunities for professional growth and making a lasting impact in the communities we serve.

As we move forward, my vision is to make IANAM a home where every nurse finds connection, inspiration, and the tools to thrive. We will honor our shared heritage, learn from one another, and share stories that reflect the rich tapestry of our experiences.

I encourage each of you to take an active role in shaping our future. Whether you are a student, a new nurse, or a seasoned professional, your voice matters. Let’s work together, support one another, and inspire the next generation of leaders in nursing.

Thank you for your trust and dedication. I look forward to all we will achieve together.

Warmest regards,
Surya Chacko, DNP, CRNP, FNP-C, PMHNP-C
President, Indian American Nurses Association of Maryland (IANAM)
